Xiaomi 11T gets Android 12 based MIUI 13 update with new features!

Earlier this month, Xiaomi 11T Pro received its first major upgrade – the MIUI 13 update. Now the company has started pushing the new software to the vanilla Xiaomi 11T smartphone. Yes, the Android 12 based MIUI 13 is now available for the Xiaomi 11T. The new update is packed with a slew of new features, enhancements, and fixes. Xiaomi 11T series phones were launched in October last year with Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 Enhanced OS. The two models are getting the new Android 12-centric update. Xiaomi is seeding the new upgrade to the Xiaomi 11T with V13.0.2.0.SKWMIXM software version and tagged with January 2022 monthly security patch. For the time being, the upgrade is available for Global units and weighs approx. 3.2GB in size for download. Currently, it is available for select users, the wider rollout is expected in the coming days.
Moving to the details, the Xiaomi 11T MIUI 13 update is rolling with a big list of new features including floating windows from the sidebar, optimized file storage system, RAM optimization engine, processor priority optimization, extended battery life of up to 10%, and more. As of now, it doesn’t have features like the new Super Wallpapers and the new widgets system, we can expect that it will be rolled out with an incremental OTA. If everything goes fine then the update will be available to everyone in a few days.
