Redmi Note 10 & 10 Pro (Global) get MIUI 13 update

The wait is finally over, Xiaomi has started rolling out Android 12-centric MIUI 13 custom skin to the global variants of Xiaomi and Redmi phones. The company has started pushing the global build to Redmi Note 10 and Note 10 Pro. MIUI 13 was unveiled by Xiaomi alongside the Xiaomi 12 series last month. In the past few days, Xiaomi released the update to many phones in its mainland China. Now is the time for the global variants, if you’re using Redmi Note 10 or Note 10 Pro, then read along to know more about the latest MIUI 13 update.
The new firmware is labeled with 13.0.2.0.SKFMIXM software version on Note 10 Pro, while Redmi Note 10 gets it with 13.0.3.0.SKGMIXM version number. MIUI 13 is the first major upgrade for both Redmi Note 10 and 10 Pro. At the time of writing, the update is in a rolling phase and will be available to all eligible users in the coming days. Fortunately, you can also sideload it manually on your smartphone and start using the new features of MIUI 13.
Updating to MIUI 13 will also bump up the Android version to the 12. The update bags a flurry of new features, including the new widget system, MiSans font, a stack of new super wallpapers, privacy features, and overall system improvements. Xiaomi has not officially confirmed that update yet, but, some users have already received the update, here’s a screenshot shared by Rajesh Rajput (Tech YouTuber @iRaj_r), featuring MIUI 13 OTA for Redmi Note 10 Pro.

If you’ve opted the Xiaomi’s pilot testing program, then you’ll get the MIUI 13 update on your Redmi Note 10 or 10 Pro. It will also be available to other users in the coming days. You can head over to the Settings then system updates to check out the new updates. If you’re in a hurry, then you can manually update your smartphone to MIUI 13 with recovery ROM.
Before updating your phone, make sure to take a backup of important data and also charge your phone to at least 50%.
