Ajay Devgn starrer ‘Runway 34’ has managed to show some growth on its second day at the box office. This movie had a very low opening figure of Rs 3 crore, but has recorded a growth of around 50 per cent on Saturday. According to Boxofficeindia, ‘Runway 34’ earned Rs 4.50 crore at the box office on its second day. The film now stands at a total collection of Rs 7.50 crore.

This opening number is very low of an Ajay Devgn starrer. To enjoy a decent box office run, ‘Runway 34’ needs to further record a positive trend on Sunday and then cash in on the Eid holiday. The film is expected to rave ahead of ‘Heropanti 2’ collection on its third day.

Ajay Devgn now just essays the lead in this thrilling drama but is also the director and producer of ‘Runway 34’. This film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Rakul Preet Singh and Boman Irani in lead roles. This film is reportedly inspired by the 2015 Doha-Kochi flight incident wherein an aircraft avoided a disaster after facing difficulties due to poor visibility. Speaking about this special project, Ajay had told PTI, “I like to break the norms. Like even in my films, I am breaking some rules be it the storytelling or technology whether they work or not. It is good to try something new, and offer something different to people. I always do what I like, I don’t think which genre or space or trend it is.”
